Frequently asked questions about boats

No, it’s not mandatory, but if you’ve had an amazing time sailing along the Costa del Sol, a tip is a great way to show appreciation for the captain and crew. After all, they ensure you have an incredible day at sea, with complete safety and comfort.

In the nautical world, it is customary to leave a tip ranging from 5% to 15% of the rental price, depending on your level of satisfaction. Additionally, the usual minimum amount for this type of service is typically between €20 and €50. If the captain has found a special spot where you felt truly at ease, coordinated your preferred food service, water activities, or simply made your experience unforgettable, they’ll certainly appreciate it.

Tipping is usually done in cash, given directly to the captain at the end of the trip. However, if you prefer another payment method, just ask us, and we’ll provide options.

Now, we need to share something very serious: if you decide not to tip, somewhere in the world, a kitten loses all hope. And even worse, sharks get very angry when they hear about it. We don’t want to alarm you, but… do you really want to risk triggering the wrath of the ocean’s kings? We wouldn’t.

That said, the most important thing is that you enjoy your trip. And if you feel the crew went above and beyond, a gratuity will always be appreciated (and the cosmic balance of the sea will remain in harmony).

We know you’re excited to sail, relax, and enjoy, so we do everything possible to make sure your trip is perfect. However, sometimes the sea or mechanics have other plans.

If the weather conditions are unsafe (strong winds, storms, or anything that could affect your experience) or if there’s a technical issue with the boat, we will offer you alternatives. What are they?

  • Reschedule your trip for another available date or time.
  • If that’s not possible, we’ll try to offer you a similar boat so you can still enjoy your experience.
  • If none of these options work for you, we’ll give you a 100% refund, no hassle, no fine print.

Our priority is your safety and satisfaction, so we take care of everything—all you have to do is enjoy.

Honestly... we have no idea until the last moment! And that’s the best part. We don’t follow a fixed itinerary because we tailor each experience to the sea conditions, the weather, and most importantly, the energy of the crew and passengers. We want you to enjoy the trip as if you were sailing with friends—without restrictions or a pre-set script.

That said, if you have a specific place in mind, let us know as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to include it in the route. Whether it’s hidden beaches, paradise-like coves, or perfect spots for swimming, snorkeling, or simply relaxing with a drink in the sun.

In short, we sail just as we would with our own family and friends: maximizing enjoyment and making sure you have a truly authentic, exclusive, and worry-free experience.

If you’re looking to rent a boat with a captain in Marbella, this is the key: you relax, and we’ll take care of the rest.

At sea, safety is not an option—it’s the priority. That’s why on every trip, we strictly comply with SOLAS and MARPOL regulations, which ensure maritime safety and environmental protection. In simple terms: our boats are in top condition, fully equipped for safe and eco-friendly navigation.

We also always check the weather forecast with the respect it deserves. If the sea says no, so do we. We want you to enjoy the experience worry-free, so we make responsible decisions to guarantee a safe and pleasant journey.

Our crew is not only highly trained but also committed to making your day at sea unforgettable for all the right reasons. So far, we have the same number of departures as safe returns to port… and we intend to keep it that way.

Relax, enjoy, and leave safety in our hands. Your only job? Decide whether to sunbathe or capture stunning photos.

Sailing in Marbella during winter is an experience you can’t miss. Unlike summer, where the heat makes you want to dive in without hesitation, winter has a different rhythm: more relaxed, more exclusive, and with the same spectacular views of the Costa del Sol.

Here, we’re the kind of people who swim in the sea all year round (yes, really), though not every day. But we guarantee that every week has perfect days for a boat trip. And when the sun is shining and the sea is calm, there’s nothing better than taking a refreshing dip in crystal-clear waters.

That said, come prepared: in winter, we recommend bringing a windproof jacket because the sea breeze is more noticeable, but don’t forget your swimsuit... you never know when you’ll feel like taking a refreshing swim.

Welcome to the Costa del Sol and the best way to experience Marbella from the sea, with the privilege of sailing without crowds, surrounded by nature, and with the freedom to choose between a day of relaxation or an unforgettable winter adventure.

All year round! Marbella and the Costa del Sol boast a privileged climate that allows you to enjoy the sea in any season.

In summer, the water is spectacular, and you can swim until midnight or at sunrise, experiencing something truly unique under the starlit sky or with the first rays of sunlight.

In winter, sailing is still an absolute pleasure. We take a dip in the sea every month of the year (not every single day, let’s be honest), but every week has perfect days for a boat trip. The main difference from summer? You might need a windproof jacket, but don’t forget your swimsuit—there’s always a sheltered cove or a gorgeous sunny day perfect for a swim.

If you’re looking for safe sailing, great weather, and the joy of enjoying the sea without crowds, welcome to the Costa del Sol and Marbella, where the sea is a luxury 365 days a year.

The biggest danger you might face is that our captain loves diving with sharks. But don’t worry—he only does that in the Red Sea, the Caribbean, the Pacific, or the Indian Ocean! Here in the Mediterranean, you won’t have to worry about that.

A real risk, however, is not booking enough hours. Many guests finish their boat trip wanting more, but if another group is already waiting at the port, extending the trip isn’t always possible. If you want to enjoy the experience without rushing, make sure to book enough time from the start.

Another “danger” that has caught our captain Adrián is his passion for the sea. If you join us, you might end up with the same “problem” and find yourself learning about sailing, buying a boat, or even signing up for one of our organized trips.

As for safety, if weather or mechanical conditions aren’t safe, we are the first to cancel the trip. Safety is our top priority, and if there’s any risk, we’ll explain everything to you with complete transparency.

So, now you know: the only real risk with us is wanting to come back again and again. Ready to set sail?

Quite often, yes! On our trips, bottlenose and common dolphins frequently come close to say hello, giving us magical moments at sea. But remember: this is their home, the ocean, and we are just visitors.

These dolphins are wild and free, so while we can’t guarantee a sighting, when they do appear, it's always spectacular. Swimming with dolphins or attempting to touch them is strictly prohibited. Our commitment is to enjoy their presence with the utmost respect, without interfering with their natural behavior.

If we’re lucky enough to encounter them, just relax and enjoy the moment. Observing dolphins in their natural habitat is a privilege, and our boats offer the perfect vantage point to experience this incredible sight without disrupting their environment.

So, get ready for a possible surprise visit from our marine friends!

If there’s one thing that defines Marbella, it’s that you can find just about anything you’re looking for… but sharks? Well, that’s a different story!

Our captain Adrián has dived with blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, guitarfish, nurse sharks, thresher sharks, whale sharks, oceanic blacktip sharks, and many more. And while the ocean will always hold its mysteries, what we can guarantee is that sailing and swimming with us is completely safe.

If you’ve ever worried about the “danger” of sharks, relax. The truth is that these incredible creatures are far more afraid of us than we are of them. Plus, as guests of the sea, our commitment is to respect the marine ecosystem completely.

So, are there sharks in Marbella? The ocean is vast and full of secrets, but in the waters where we sail, spotting one is highly unlikely. If they are around, they prefer deeper waters, far from human activity.

So, if your biggest concern is whether you’ll see sharks in Marbella, the answer is simple: just enjoy the boat trip, the crystal-clear water, and the sunshine… whatever is lurking in the deep will remain a mystery.

We know that every sailor has their preferred payment method, so we offer several options to make booking your boat with a captain in Marbella easy and secure.

Split Payment: To confirm your reservation, we require a 50% deposit upfront. The remaining 50% can be paid a few days before the trip or even on board, depending on the boat. Contact us, and we’ll provide the exact details.

Available Payment Methods:

  • Credit or debit card, via secure payment link or card terminal on board.
  • Bank transfer.
  • Revolut, for the tech-savvy.
  • Cash, if you prefer the classic way.

If you have any questions about the best option for you, just ask us. We want you to enjoy the sea without any worries.

Absolutely! You are always welcome to bring whatever food and drinks you like. We want you to enjoy your trip to the fullest, so if you have a special craving, feel free to bring it along.

What drinks are included on the boat?

All our boats come with water and soft drinks to keep you hydrated. If you’ve booked one of our 12-meter or larger boats, beer and wine are also included.

Can I order food onboard?

Of course! We offer several options so you don’t have to worry about a thing:

  • Onboard chef: If you’re looking for an exclusive dining experience, we can arrange for a chef to prepare delicious meals during your trip.
  • Delivery service: We work with providers who can bring food directly to the boat, so you can simply relax and enjoy.
  • Restaurants and catering: We collaborate with various restaurants and catering services in Marbella that can deliver your meal just before departure.

If you have any special requests, let us know, and we’ll do our best to make your experience unforgettable. We want your day at sea to be perfect!

If you prefer the thrill of navigating on your own, you can rent one of our boats without a captain or even a jet ski. However, as with any great adventure, responsibility comes first, which means you’ll need to leave a security deposit before setting sail.

The deposit amount varies depending on the vessel and will be fully refunded at the end of the rental, provided the boat or jet ski is returned in the same condition as when it departed.

Before you get onboard, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know to ensure a safe and worry-free experience. If you have any questions about the deposit amount or conditions, feel free to ask us. We’re here to help you enjoy the best experience at sea with total peace of mind.

By legal definition, a recreational boat has a maximum capacity of 12 passengers. This means that some boats have 12 seats, including the crew, while others allow 12 passengers plus the crew.

If your group consists of more than 11 people, don’t worry—we have solutions to make sure no one is left behind. We can arrange multiple speedboats, a yacht with a support boat, or even offer you a 25-passenger catamaran or a large catamaran for up to 150 guests.

Tell us what you have in mind, and we’ll find the best option at the right price. Just let us know how many people are in your group, and we’ll make it happen!

Absolutely! Some of our boats allow dogs onboard, as long as they weigh 15 kg (33 lbs) or less. We know your four-legged friend is part of the family, and we want them to enjoy the sea just as much as you do.

That said, to ensure the best experience for everyone, there may be a small extra fee and a refundable deposit. But don’t worry—if everything is in order at the end of the trip, your deposit will be fully refunded without any issues.

Safety comes first! We provide dog life jackets because we want your furry sailor to cruise safely and happily.

If you’re planning to bring your pet, please let us know in advance so we can make sure everything is ready for your nautical adventure. We love welcoming passengers with paws!

Yes, you can smoke onboard, but always with care for the boat and respect for the crew and other passengers. We want you to enjoy the sea breeze freely, but without compromising safety or the comfort of others.

The captain will provide an ashtray, so please always use it for ashes and cigarette butts. No tossing them into the sea—we want happy fish, not floating cigarette butts!

To protect the upholstery, we kindly ask that you place a towel underneath whenever possible. Fire and boats aren’t the best combination, and while we trust your steady hand, better safe than sorry.

Lastly, to ensure that smoke doesn’t bother other passengers, we’ll ask you to smoke as far aft as possible. That way, everyone can enjoy the fresh air without surprises.

Hakuna matata—relax and enjoy, we’ll take care of the rest.

Absolutely! We can arrange as many jet skis as you want. Just let us know, and we’ll provide you with pricing and all the details.

That said, our recommendation is to fully enjoy your boat trip first and then, once you return to port, jump into the adventure on a jet ski. This way, you can make the most of each experience with the full focus and excitement they deserve.

If you’d like to combine a boat rental with a captain in Marbella and an adrenaline-filled jet ski session, just let us know—we’ll take care of everything!

We know the sea can be unpredictable, and sometimes the body doesn’t react as expected. That’s why our best advice is to come onboard well-rested and save the party for after the trip, not the night before.

While we always aim for the calmest sea conditions possible, it’s still possible for someone to feel seasick. If that happens, don’t worry: we can return to our home port, stop at the nearest port, or even arrange a transfer from the boat to the closest shore with the help of our partners.

If you need this option, contact us for availability, conditions, and pricing. We want you to enjoy the sea without worries, so we’ll do everything we can to make your experience as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

Absolutely! Our crew will be more than happy to help you capture the best photos of your experience at sea. We know that a boat trip in Marbella is a special moment, and we want you to take home the best memories.

If you’d like to capture underwater shots with a GoPro or stunning aerial footage with a drone, please contact us in advance to check availability and conditions. Drone filming is subject to local regulations and weather conditions, but we’ll do our best to help you get incredible footage.

So don’t hesitate to ask for assistance in snapping the perfect shot with the sea as your backdrop. We want you to leave with postcard-worthy memories!

All our boats are equipped with a Bluetooth sound system, so you can connect your favorite music hassle-free. All you need is your phone and a great playlist.

We love music, and more than once, we’ve had real concerts at sea—from impromptu acoustic sessions to incredible a cappella performances that turned the boat into a floating stage.

That said, there’s one unwritten but sacred rule: the music must be good. Our captain has a refined ear, and if your playlist is deemed an offense to good taste, he just might change course and drop you off in the shark-feeding zone

So, get your best song selection ready and enjoy the ultimate boat rental with captain experience in Marbella.

Absolutely! All our boats are equipped with a fridge or an ice-filled cooler, so your food and drinks will stay fresh throughout your trip. If you're bringing something that requires extra cooling, you’re welcome to bring your own cooler (like a beach cooler).

If you have any questions about what to bring or the best way to store it, reach out to us as soon as possible. We’ll be happy to help you plan so that your onboard experience is full of great surprises—only the good ones, of course!

The number one rule is simple: have an amazing time and enjoy to the fullest. This is your chance to relax, disconnect, and make the most of the experience—always with respect and good vibes.

Some Basic Rules for a Perfect Sailing Experience:

  • Do not touch the boat’s navigation or safety equipment. The captain is in charge, so it's best to leave everything in their hands.
  • Inform the captain of anything important. If you’re prone to seasickness, have allergies, or any other special needs, it’s best to let them know before departure.
  • Keep an eye on your surroundings while sailing. The sea is unpredictable, and safety always comes first.
  • If you have a talent, share it! Love to sing? Play an instrument? Have incredible travel stories or photos from past sea adventures? The captain would love to hear them and make the experience even more special.

Remember: A great passenger turns a good day at sea into an unforgettable one. Come ready to enjoy, leave your worries onshore, and get ready for a one-of-a-kind adventure in Marbella.

Absolutely! Children—even babies—are more than welcome to enjoy the experience at sea. We want the whole family to have an unforgettable adventure, which is why we provide special life jackets for them.

That said, to ensure the best experience and maximum safety, please let us know when booking how many children and babies will be joining. This way, we can have everything ready to keep them comfortable and protected.

Remember that at least one responsible adult must always be onboard. Our captain is an expert in the sea, but you are the expert in your crew. Ready to set sail and create unforgettable memories in Marbella?

Absolutely! We love welcoming travelers of all abilities and always do our best to ensure a comfortable and safe experience. We understand that every situation is unique, so we kindly ask you to contact us before booking. This way, we can assess the options and make sure everything is set up for you to enjoy the sea without worries.

Some of our boats have wider access and adapted areas, while others may have limitations. Our goal is to provide you with a relaxing and hassle-free experience, so reach out to us and we’ll help you find the best option. We’re here to adapt so you can enjoy the sea to the fullest!

On our boats, fun and respect go hand in hand. That’s why any behavior that disrupts the good vibes, harmony, and respect among passengers is strictly prohibited. We want your experience to be unforgettable—for all the right reasons!

Additionally, in compliance with local regulations and the Civil Code, the following are NOT allowed onboard:

  • Harmful or illegal substances, including any type of drugs.
  • Fireworks (we love a good show, but not the fire hazard).
  • Hookahs or shishas (they may set the mood, but not here).

If you have any questions about what you can or cannot bring onboard, please ask before booking. We’re here to help and ensure that your day at sea is safe, legal, and memorable for all the right reasons.

We love fun, good vibes, and unforgettable experiences at sea, but always with respect and safety. That’s why if any member of the group engages in inappropriate, dangerous, or disrespectful behavior, the captain has full authority to cancel the trip immediately and return to port without a refund.

The captain is not just there to steer the boat but also to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone on board. So, no reckless behavior, excessive intoxication, or actions that could negatively impact the experience. We want you to have an amazing time, but always with responsible and respectful fun.

Enjoy the sea, the sun, and the breeze in the best atmosphere—and let’s make sure the trip lasts as long as it should!

No one goes hungry here! You have complete freedom to choose how you’d like to enjoy your meal onboard. Your options include:

  • Bringing your own food and drinks—no problem! Relax and enjoy your favorite meals.
  • Letting our onboard chef handle it—a professional who will prepare delicious dishes while you sail.
  • Choosing a personalized catering service with a selection of menus tailored to your tastes.
  • Ordering food from a port restaurant so you can savor your favorite dish with the best view—the sea.

You decide, and we take care of the rest. Contact us, and we’ll find the perfect option for you!

Absolutely! We can arrange live musicians of almost any style to create a truly unique experience at sea. Imagine a violinist playing as you sail into the sunset, a saxophonist setting the perfect mood with smooth melodies, or a string quartet adding a touch of elegance to your event.

If you’re looking for something more upbeat, we can bring in a rock band to get the party started, a DJ with chill-out sessions, or even an opera singer for a breathtaking performance at sea.

Tell us your vision, and we’ll handle everything—sound, equipment, space, and logistics. We want your boat experience to be absolutely perfect, so let us know your preferred music style, and we’ll make it happen.

Make sure to book in advance to secure the best musicians in Marbella. Your boat, your rhythm!

Great question! If you choose to rent a boat without a captain, then yes—you can be the captain of your own adventure! Just make sure to check whether the boat you select requires a nautical license.

For boat trips with a captain, the decision to let you take the helm depends entirely on the captain’s discretion. Some are more relaxed about it, while others prefer to remain in full control for safety reasons. If you’re excited to give it a try, mention it when making your booking, and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

Sailing in Marbella is a luxury, but safety always comes first. Let us help you create the perfect experience at sea!

In general, our boat trips have a minimum duration of 2 hours, as this is the perfect amount of time to enjoy the sea without rushing. Additionally, in the boat rental industry in Marbella, the most common options are 2, 4, 6, and 8 hours.

But here’s the best part: we adapt to your needs. Want a quick 1-hour express trip for a spectacular yet short experience? We can do it! Need a 4.5-hour trip to fit your schedule? No problem. Looking for a full 12-hour day to explore the coast without limits? That’s possible too.

In short: anything is possible. Tell us your idea, and we’ll do everything we can to turn it into an unforgettable experience at sea.

Less is more when it comes to sailing. Onboard, every bit of space matters, so we recommend bringing only the essentials. A good practice is to minimize the number of bags—for example, if you’re a couple, one shared backpack with a towel and sunscreen for both is more than enough.

If you’re bringing a baby, it’s best to leave the stroller in the car, even if it’s foldable, to keep more space available on board. And if someone in your group has reduced mobility, we’ll make sure to find the best spot for their mobility aid.

If you’re unsure about what to bring, just ask us. We’ll help you plan so you can enjoy the sea with total comfort. Remember: travel light and leave anything unnecessary in your car.

Whether you're sailing in summer or winter, there’s one thing you should never forget: your excitement to have a great time! But to make sure your experience at sea is truly perfect, here’s a list of must-haves:

  • Swimsuit and towel – The Mediterranean always invites you to take a refreshing dip.
  • Sunscreen – The Marbella sun is amazing, but it’s best to enjoy it without sunburn.
  • Warm clothing – Even if it’s hot on land, the sea breeze can surprise you. A windbreaker or sweatshirt is always a good idea.
  • Waterproof windbreaker (in winter) – If you’re coming during the cooler months, you’ll be glad to have a good waterproof jacket.
  • Motion sickness tablets – If you're not used to sailing, bring anti-seasickness medication with caffeine (always consult your doctor and read the instructions before taking any medication).
  • Food and drinksNo restrictions here! Bring whatever you’d like to snack on and toast while enjoying the sea.

And most importantly: positive energy and a camera for unforgettable photos. Marbella and its coastline offer spectacular views, so get ready to take home amazing memories.

All set? See you onboard!

If you picture winter as gray skies, heavy coats, and rainy streets, Marbella and Seville will surprise you. Here, winter feels more like a mild autumn elsewhere. Temperatures are pleasantly warm, ranging between 16-22°C during the day, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors without bundling up in layers.

That said, you might get the occasional drop of rain, but don’t worry—it’s more of a gentle reminder that winter exists rather than a real inconvenience. Most days are sunny and perfect for a beachside stroll, a drink on a terrace, or exploring the city without the intense summer heat.

If you visit Seville in winter, you’ll find a city with an enviable climate—ideal for wandering through the historic center without the scorching temperatures of July and August. In Marbella, the Costa del Sol truly lives up to its name, and you might even find yourself wondering if it’s really winter at all.

In short, if you’re looking to escape the cold without sacrificing comfort, this is the perfect destination. A winter that’s mild, sun-drenched, and the ideal balance between relaxation and outdoor activities.

We love dogs and cats as much as you do! However, due to administrative regulations in our residential complexes, pets are not allowed in the apartments. The only exception is for guide dogs for visually impaired guests, who are always welcome.

But don’t worry! If you’re traveling with your furry companion, we have a partnership with several pet hotels in both Marbella and Seville, where your four-legged friend will be treated like royalty. Reach out to us, and we’ll help you find the best option—so everyone can enjoy their vacation to the fullest!

Great question! In general, our apartments are adapted for guests with reduced mobility, but each one has different features. We want your stay in Marbella or Seville to be comfortable and hassle-free, so the best thing to do is to contact us and tell us about your specific needs.

This way, we can ensure that the accommodation you choose perfectly suits your requirements. From access points and elevators to adapted bathrooms—we take this very seriously to make sure you can enjoy your stay without any worries.

Reach out to us, let us know what you need, and we’ll help you find the ideal apartment for you. Your comfort comes first!

It depends on the apartment. If you're looking for accommodation in Seville, unfortunately, we do not have private parking. But don’t worry—we won’t leave you stranded! We can recommend free parking areas or nearby paid parking options so you can park your car hassle-free.

If you’re staying at Romana Playa (Marbella), there is a community parking lot within the complex. However, parking is subject to availability, so if you're visiting during peak season—fingers crossed!

On the other hand, if your destination is Urbanización Lunamar (Marbella), you’re in luck! We provide a private parking space exclusively for our guests, so no need to worry about finding a spot.

If you have any questions about the best parking options in the area, just reach out to us—we’re happy to help! We want your arrival to be as smooth as possible.

The standard check-in time is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM. That said, we understand that every traveler has their own schedule, and we try to be as flexible as possible.

If we don’t have another reservation that day, we may be able to offer a late check-out until 11:00 AM or even later, depending on availability. Likewise, if the apartment is ready before 3:00 PM (because there was no booking the night before), we’ll be happy to allow an early check-in so you can start enjoying Marbella as soon as possible.

As a general rule: check-in from 3:00 PM and check-out by 10:00 AM. But if you need different timing, just ask, and we’ll see what we can do!

For late arrivals, the latest standard check-in time is 8:00 PM, but if you’re arriving later, no worries! Just let us know in advance so we can arrange everything for you.

We are a family-run management company, and we want your stay to be as smooth and comfortable as possible. So, if you need a little extra flexibility, let’s talk and see what we can do.

Whenever you want! You can book at any time—even before you check out of your current accommodation if you’re already thinking about your next vacation. Some guests book up to 2 years in advance to secure their favorite spot in Marbella.

If you’re looking for high-demand dates or peak season, our advice is to book as early as possible to ensure availability. And if your plans change, no worries—we offer a 100% refund up to one month before your arrival. So, you can plan ahead with peace of mind and no risk.
