In autumn 2025, La Romana Marbella invites you to join a unique ocean sailing adventure: a three-week expedition from southern Tenerife to the paradisiacal islands of Cape Verde, aboard a sailing catamaran and a monohull sailing yacht.

This journey is designed for sailors seeking to gain offshore experience, especially in tidal waters—a key requirement for those pursuing British ocean certifications, such as the RYA Yachtmaster Ocean. It’s also ideal for anyone wanting to experience nature, the sea and local culture in one of the Atlantic’s most fascinating destinations.

An Atlantic crossing from Tenerife

We will set sail from southern Tenerife (Canary Islands) and embark on a week-long non-stop crossing of the Atlantic Ocean, heading towards Cape Verde. This is an authentic ocean passage, perfect for logging sea miles, gaining night sailing experience, and sailing in true offshore and tidal conditions. You will be accompanied by an experienced professional crew, ensuring safety and guidance throughout the voyage.

Cape Verde: turquoise waters, warm climate and vibrant culture

Once we arrive in Cape Verde, we will spend two weeks exploring the different islands, famous for their volcanic landscapes and crystal-clear turquoise waters. October and November offer the best conditions, with warm temperatures ranging between 25ºC and 30ºC, and consistent winds, ideal for sailing and water sports.
